BASF Turf & Ornamentals announced it has appointed Wayne Ducote as Sales Specialist for Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, the Florida panhandle region and Tennessee.

Ducote and Watts join BASF Turf & Ornamentals

Ducote will help distributors, golf course superintendents, nursery and greenhouse growers, and lawn care operators select science-based, chemical solutions for growing healthy turf and plants.

In addition, BASF also announced that Dan Watts, Strategic Accounts Manager, for BASF Professional Vegetation Management adds similar responsibilities for BASF Turf & Ornamentals. Watts will now be focused on developing and managing relationships with channel partners, including distributors, for both business units nationwide.

“Wayne and Dan’s years of exceptional service to BASF customers will be a great asset for us,” said Dr. Toni Bucci, BASF Turf & Ornamentals Business Manager. “We’re happy to add experienced leaders to the sales team for support in the Mid-South and on the national level.”

Prior to joining the Turf & Ornamentals team, Ducote held a Sales Specialist position with BASF Professional Vegetation Management (ProVM). During his 10 years with ProVM, Ducote used his wealth of practical experience and involvement in state and local governmental committees to build strong relationships with customers in the aquatics, forestry, utility and rights-of-way markets. Of his more than 30 years of experience, Ducote spent nearly a decade working for the Crop Division of American Cyanamid Company.

Watts brings nearly 20 years of experience to his new position and has been with BASF since 2001. Previously, Watts served as the private industrial company (PIC) account manager for ProVM.
