Mauget announces the passing of President and CEO Nathan Dodds

J.J. Mauget Company released the following statement on June 23:

We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2017, the world lost an amazing man when Nathan (Nate) E. Dodds, President and CEO of the J.J. Mauget Company, passed away unexpectedly. Nate suffered from heart disease and diabetes, and he suffered a massive heart attack. Nate had a new vision for Mauget and was excited about the future for the company.

Nate joined forces with his father, Dale I. Dodds, and younger brother, Charlie Dodds, at Mauget 35 years ago. When Nate’s father, Dale, passed away 20 years ago, Nate proudly took over as President and CEO, and he had been driving the business ever since. The family-owned and operated business has considered everyone that has ever worked at Mauget as part of the extended Dodds family. Nate’s presence and contributions were respected and felt in the office, as well as within the entire tree care industry. He will be missed around the country.

Nate is survived by his wife Brenda, three children Kellie, Jesslyn and Bob, and three brothers Alan, Dale Jr. and Charlie. He also had four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who had children of their own. The family will remember his legacy for countless years to come.

Recently, Nate brought in his daughter, Kellie E. Dodds, to work with him in executing his new vision for the company and bringing it to fruition. Today, Kellie has proudly and graciously accepted the position of President and General Manager of the J.J. Mauget Company. She will continue her father’s work and looks forward to bringing his dreams for Mauget to life.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Nathan E. Dodds will be held on July 16, 2017 at the Yorba Linda Community Center in Yorba Linda, Calif. from 11am-3pm.

Donations can also be made in honor of Nathan to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
