NALP announces education partnership with Cornell University

The National Association of Landscape Professionals announced that it has partnered with Cornell’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management to provide the education for the Leaders Forum (formerly Great Escape) in Los Cabos, Mexico, February 25-27, 2016.

“Through this partnership with Cornell, we are taking this event to the next level and making it the ‘must attend’ event in the industry,” said Sabeena Hickman, CAE, NALP CEO. “We think the combination of an Ivy League education plus world class destination makes this a unique event.”

The education sessions will be developed and led by award winning management lecturer Risa M. Mish and Associate Dean for Executive Education Allan M. Filipowicz. Attendees will take a leadership assessment ahead of the conference so they can learn to develop their particular style of leadership.

The educational format delivered by Cornell will be highly interactive and will include real-world scenarios and case studies to illustrate key concepts.

Aside from top education, Leaders Forum also includes many receptions and excursions which allow for relaxed networking with staff, colleagues, and family.

Leaders Forum will be held at the Hilton Beach & Golf Resort at Los Cabos, Mexico. Room reservations are now available and very low registration prices are available for NALP members until December 15, during the pre-brochure pricing special. Regular early-bird pricing runs through January 25.

The education is approved for Landscape Industry Certified recertification at 1 CEU per hour of instruction attended. The event is sponsored by Caterpillar at the Platinum level, Bayer Environmental Science at the Gold level, and John Deere at the Silver level.
