ArborMaster, a leading provider of safety, skill training, and workforce development, released its 2020 training calendar.
The session descriptions are as follow:
L1 Precision Tree Felling & Chain Saw Safety & Handling
2-Day Module – No pre-requisites
The participants will be educated in modern felling techniques; and learn a systematic method to plan the operation and skillfully work the plan. Practices based on leverage, mechanical advantage, and ergonomics, as they relate to precision felling and chainsaw handling, will be taught, demonstrated, and experienced. Students will be trained in practical exercises to develop skills and measure results. This course will teach how planning, skill development, and preventative maintenance equal increased safety and productivity.
L1 ArborMaster L1 Tree Climbing Methods, Work Positioning & Best Practice
3-Day Module – No pre-requisites
Participants will be educated and trained in modern tree climbing methods and learn about the methods, systems and techniques that make tree climbing and work positioning safer, easier, and more efficient. The differences between Moving Rope Systems (MRS) also known as Doubled Rope Technique (DdRT) and Stationary Rope Systems (SRS), commonly called Single Rope Technique (SRT) will be discussed and examined. Learn through both theoretical and practical learning activities how to make the fundamental physics & mechanical advantage in your climbing system work for you! This course will also introduce work positioning best practice with hand saws & chainsaws emphasizing safety, skill and productivity!
L1 Arborist Rigging Applications
3 Day – Pre-requisites:
- L1 Tree Climbing Methods & Best Practice
- L1 Precision Felling, Chainsaw Handling, Safety, and Ergonomics
The participants will be educated in modern arborist rigging applications; and learn about the tools and techniques that make rigging safer, easier, and more efficient. Basic concepts of physics, system dynamics, force management, and factors of safety will be introduced as they relate to rigging systems. This course emphasizes safety, skill development, and productivity; and consists of both theoretical and practical learning activities.
