ASIC 2010 National Conference set for April 24-26
ASIC will flash a Beacon on the Bay this year in Monterey, CA, for irrigation and green industry professionals, preparing the industry and Society members for the decade ahead.
The Clement Hotel on historic Cannery Row is the site this April 24-26 for the introduction of ASIC’s new Strategic Plan, which will redefine the Society’s mission, and recharge the organization and membership to aggressively compete for future outdoor water-resource business.
After 10 months of interviews, focus groups and meetings, ASIC’s Board of Directors will present new organizational core values and significant objectives and tactics for building the profession and the industry, as well as the Society’s future value to its membership.
Robert Glennon opens the conference’s educational component with, “The Great Thirst, Shining the Light on Water”. Beacon on the Bay then plunges into a compelling program focused on alternative water resource development and quality; creating programs to reward water conservation; the future of the Irrigation Consultant; and important industry updates.
Featured speakers include water reuse guru Dr. Ali Harivandi; Wayne Owens on “How to Get Paid”; Geologist Keil Albert on tapping hidden water resources; Monterey Water Management District’s Stephanie Pintar on Water Demand Management; and others.
In addition to these topical offerings, ASIC’s annual conference will be loaded with industry news, technical presentations, open forums, new projects, new product applications, tabletop displays and strong networking opportunities.
