Attendee registration is now open for the Irrigation Association’s 2012 Irrigation Show, Nov. 4 – 5, and Education Conference, Nov. 2 – 6, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Attendees who register by Oct. 5 will receive discounted rates. Last year’s show saw in increase in attendees by nearly 20 percent, and this year’s show is expected to draw an equally large presence.
The 2012 Irrigation Show offers one strategic venue where attendees can explore the best the industry has to offer with respect to irrigation technologies, best practices and innovative ideas.
New offerings in 2012 include:
Opening and Closing Night Social Events. The Irrigation Association welcomes attendees and exhibitors to join us for an opening night party with live music by Orlando-based band MPiRE and a closing night gathering at a new Orlando hotspot, the Pub at Pointe Orlando. In conjunction with the Irrigation Show, the Florida Irrigation Society and Workforce Florida are holding a job and career fair open to all people wishing to make their career in the original green industry. Meet with industry employers to learn about job openings in Florida and around the U.S. New Product Contest: People’s Choice Award. In addition to the judged awards, this year’s New Product Contest will offer attendees the opportunity to vote on the product they feel best represents the latest innovation in the industry. General Session Keynote. Charlie Hall, PhD, is expected to bring his knowledge, enthusiasm and energy to the General Session and provide a macro perspective to economics in the landscape, horticulture and agricultural realms. Hall started his career studying agricultural economics and is now professor of horticulture and Ellison Chair in International Floriculture at Texas A&M University.
