Cub Cadet launches PRO Z 972 SD

Cub Cadet introduced a new addition to its PRO Z Series, announcing the release of the PRO Z 972 SD, a professional zero-turn mower that has the capability of operating on slopes of up to 25 degrees.

With the ability to mow confidently and accurately across hills horizontally, landscapers and municipalities can dramatically improve their efficiency and, at the same time, produce a superior quality cut.

“The PRO Z 972 SD gives the operator the speed and cut quality of a commercial zero turn mower on slopes a lap-bar zero-turn mower can’t handle” said Josh Sooy, director of commercial products, Cub Cadet. “Now operators can save time and money, and tackle jobs that previously proved challenging.”

Design elements in the PRO Z 972 SD, such as its dual rear wheels, allow operators to mow tough terrain with a higher level of stability and precision. The one-of-a-kind four-wheel steering system offers total control, and a comfortable, straight-line mow, even on steeper hillsides. This gives landscapers the opportunity to conquer 25-degree slopes they couldn’t mow before with a commercial lap-bar zero-turn.

Additionally, the mower offers a triple-7-gauge steel cutting deck, backed by a five-year, 1,750-hour limited deck warranty. The PRO Z 972 SD will be available for purchase in January 2019.
