DIG launches Water Matters Award
DIG launched the inaugural DIG Water Matters Award at the Irrigation Association’s 2013 Irrigation Show in Austin, Texas. The contest, which runs through next October, will award a $5,000 prize to one talented landscape designer who displays creativity, innovation and sustainability in a completed landscape design. Landscape architects of community, commercial or residential properties across the United States are invited to participate.
“There are so many talented landscape architects utilizing our water-efficient technology to create inventive and environmentally sustainable landscapes. We wanted this competition to celebrate eco-conscious designs and to inspire landscape architects across the country in their water conservation efforts,” said Chief Executive Officer David Levy.
Contestants must submit design plans and complete all construction by October 17, 2014. A neutral panel of landscape architects, landscape contractors and landscape distributors will select the winner, who will be announced at the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Annual Meeting on November 16, 2014.
