Doosan engine division receives important industry certifications

Doosan Infracore America’s engine division announced its receipt of full Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification for its clean, natural gas engines in the United States. The North American engine division, headquartered in Suwanee, Ga., is now fully certified to sell engines across the United States.

“We are proud that the Doosan engines received this valuable certification,” said Kwangsup Hwang, general manager, North American Engine Division.

“Our clean engines are 10 percent more fuel efficient that our competitors and consistently meet and exceed emission standards, and this certification will provide the opportunity for customers to enjoy the benefits of a clean, natural gas Doosan engine.”

The lean burn engine technology, found in Doosan engines, has been deployed to provide efficient, reliable, and low emission performance for many years.

As emission regulations have become more stringent, conventional fuel lean burn technologies have reached their limits. Doosan engines have been installed in more than 1,200 different applications and offer engine support for automotive, truck and bus, marine including yachts, naval guard ships and patrol boats, generators, and industrial engines for mobile construction equipment and large special application vehicles.
