Echo introduces two new blowers

Echo is looking to further strengthen its leadership position in the blower category with two category-leading blowers for 2019 – the PB-8010 and PB-2620.

The new PB-8010 backpack blower features a new 79.9cc engine, which delivers the highest blowing performance of any backpack blower on the market – 1071 cfm and 211 mph, with an incredible 44 Newtons according to the ANSI B175.2 standard. That’s at least 7% more performance than any other backpack blower on the market. All that performance is directed onto the nearest unsuspecting pile of leaves through huge 3.6-inch-diameter blower tubes, featuring a wear ring on the end to prevent wear.

The PB-8010 (pictured above) also features an industry-first carbon fiber plastic frame and fan case. This new technology cuts 1.9 pounds of weight compared to standard plastic material, and allows the PB-8010T to tip the scales at just 24.5 pounds, comparable with Echo’s popular PB-770T.

Rounding out this model is an oversized pleated paper main filter and foam prefilter for use in high-dust environments, along with tool-less latches for easy in-field maintenance. An extra-large 83.8 oz fuel tank delivers long run times, and padded backpack straps and a padded backrest keep things comfortable for all-day use. The Echo-original vented backpack frame draws air across the user’s back to keep you cool in hot weather, and a block-off plate is included for use in cooler weather.

The PB-8010 is available with either a tube-mounted throttle (PB-8010T) or a hip-mounted throttle (PB-8010H) for an MSRP of $599.99.

Echo is also introducing the highest performance professional handheld blower on the market, the PB-2620. This model features strong 456 cfm and 172 mph performance, with 15.8 Newtons of performance according to ANSI B175.2.

The PB-2620 (pictured right) combines this category-leading performance with numerous features that professionals demand: chrome cylinder plating; a pleated paper main filter and foam prefilter with tool-less access allowing for use in high-dust environments; best-in-class hot restartability; and an oversized 20.3 oz. fuel tank. All ensure that the PB-2620 will keep delivering performance even in the summer heat.

A rubber main handle, a secondary handle and variable locking cruise control help keep user’s hands comfortable during long usage periods. The blower comes with both a round-end pipe (with patented wear ring) and flared-end pipe, allowing output to be tailored to the job.

The PB-2620 is available at an MSRP of $199.99.
