EPA Welcomes Vermeer Corporation to Performance Track

Vermeer Corporation was inducted into the Performance Track program by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Launched in June of 2000, the National Environmental Performance Track is a voluntary partnership program that recognizes and rewards private and public facilities who demonstrate strong environmental performance beyond current requirements.

To qualify, applicants must have implemented an independently-assessed environmental management system, have a record of sustained compliance with environmental laws and regulations, commit to achieving measurable environmental results that go beyond compliance, and provide information to the local community on their environmental activities.

Currently the program has recognized 550 members including major corporations, small businesses, and public facilities that are steering a course toward environmental excellence.

“We are excited to be among the few companies in Iowa and the nation who have been accepted into the Performance Track program,” said Mary Andringa, president and co-CEO of Vermeer Corporation. “Vermeer is committed to protecting our global resources and has worked hard as a company and within our community to enhance our environment.
