With smaller-frame zero-turn units powered by diesel fuel gaining popularity in both the United States and Europe, Ferris recently introduced the IS 2500Z diesel to meet the needs of its commercial and municipal customers. It boasts a 20- or 24-hp. Yanmar 3-cylinder in-line diesel engine with cast-iron block, a 52- or 61-inch iCD deck with long-lasting greaseable aluminum or cast-iron spindles, and coil-over-shock 4-wheel suspension. Other features include a 2-stage industrial air cleaner, hydro pumps with top-mounted fans, cutting heights of 1.75 to 5 inches in 1/4-inch increments, easy-to-use deck lift, rubber discharge chute and folding ROPS with retractable seatbelt.
