Todd Brown, general manager of The Fockele Garden Company, was recently elected president of the Georgia Green Industry Association Board of Directors Landscape Division.

Brown has been with The Fockele Garden Company for six years and has served on the Landscape Division of the board for three years. The GGIA works to promote horticulture in the state of Georgia, adapting to the changes within the industry and in standard business practices.  The association provides education, legislative monitoring, certification exams, trade shows, and conferences to the horticulture-related industries in the state.

“It’s an honor to serve as president of the Landscape Division for the board of GGIA, and I am excited to continue the great work of our committee to represent landscape companies across Georgia,” Brown said.

Brown, who has 25 years of experience in the landscaping industry, is a Certified Landscape Professional. It is a distinction from the Professional Landcare Network which has been awarded to less than 1 percent of all landscape professionals in the nation. Brown is a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture, and a GGIA certified nurseryman and plant specialist.  Brown, who attended Georgia State University, holds a Georgia/Alabama/South Carolina commercial pesticide application license.
