Gravely launches new Pro-Stance Series mowers

Gravely announced the addition of the new commercial Pro-Stance series mowers to its line of stand-ons. With patent-pending features, including integrated transmissions, a dial height-of-cut and foot pedal deck lift, the new Pro-Stance provides enhanced productivity and a comfortable operator experience.

“We’re very excited to introduce this uniquely featured mower into the growing stand-on market,” said Brian Anundsen, commercial and turf product marketing manager for Ariens Company. “The patent-pending features are the result of gathering feedback from landscape contractors and incorporating innovations no other manufacturer has offered up to this point. The Pro-Stance was a true ground-up design for Gravely, so it really stands out from our current stand-on and others in the market.”

The integrated Hydro-Gear transmissions in the Pro-Stance provide an exttremely low center of gravity. With a low center of gravity, operators can easily and more quickly handle slopes or uneven terrain. Integrated transmissions also reduce leak points and eliminate cross contamination typical in pump and wheel motor systems. Innovative dampening gives a smooth ride and speeds up to 9 mph.

Another patent-pending feature is the dial height-of-cut adjustment. The dial allows the operator to change the deck height at the control panel without stepping off the machine. The added convenience of being able to adjust the deck height while on the mower also enhances productivity, shaving time off of having to step on and off the machine.

Dual deck lift controls allow operators to raise the deck with a hand or foot lever, ensuring ease of operation in all mowing conditions. The patent-pending foot pedal deck lift provides greater leverage for operators of every size and those with arm or shoulder disabilities who may have difficulty with traditional hand-lever lifts.

The user experience on the Pro-Stance is enhanced by the improved operator presence controls, which have larger-diameter handles and an adjustable speed bar and reverse index bar. The deluxe thigh pad is custom contoured for operator security and comfort, and it folds out for access to the tank, battery hydro overflows and fuse box. The flip-up suspension platform enables the user to convert the Pro-Stance from a stand-on to a walk-behind.

Additional features include:

Fenders designed with foot pegs for hillside weight distribution
Large rear tires for improved traction, hillside performance and for a more comfortable ride
Strong front caster forks with larger fork shafts and bearings for commercial-strength durability and enhanced maneuverability
Large semi-pneumatic front tires for improved curb climbing, reduced soil compaction and the elimination of flat-tire repair
Heavy-duty, removable rubber discharge chute for flexibility mowing around objects
Optional accessories: mulching kit, grass collector, operator-controlled discharge chute, grass catcher bracket

“The Pro-Stance is another example of Gravely’s commitment to the commercial lawn maintenance market,” Anundsen said. “After our successful launch of the Pro-Turn 400 zero-turn last fall, we’re looking forward to the momentum of the Pro-Stance launch.”
