Green industry professionals invited to exhibit at Empire State Green Industry Show

Booths are available for exhibitors who would like to promote their green industry products, equipment and services at the 2009 Empire State Green Industry Show scheduled for January 7-9, 2009 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Produced in partnership with the New York State Nursery and Landscape Association (NYSNLA), New York State Arborists – ISA Chapter, Inc. (NYSA), and New York State Turfgrass Association (NYSTA), this event represents the largest green industry show in New York State.

According to Show Manager, Elizabeth Seme, “The Empire State Green Industry Show attracts 2,000 people from a wide variety of green industry professions and includes a 200 booth trade show. As always, we have put together a solid program to ensure excellent educational opportunities for our attendees and a great turn-out for our exhibitors. Booth prices have not increased for 2009. The $700 rate for a 10’ x 10’ booth includes conference registration for two representatives. In addition, other strategies have been put into effect to make sure this year’s program is a success including offering discounted trade show passes and inviting key industry buyers.”

In addition, measures have been taken to protect the interests of exhibitors. Trade show committee member and NYSA Secretary/Treasurer, Brian Skinner said, “This year, a policy has been put into effect prohibiting the admittance of sales/manufacturing attendees to the trade show floor unless they are representing a paid booth. This policy will be strictly enforced because our vendors should not have to compete with non-exhibiting solicitors. We appreciate our exhibitors and one of our highest priorities is their satisfaction and success at the show.”

Vendors will also be listed in the on-site exhibitor directory which is provided for every attendee at the show and will receive a list of all attendees. To promote traffic to vendor booths, exclusive trade show hours have been scheduled when all other events are closed and live trade show floor demonstrations will be presented for attendees.

In response to exhibitor feedback, the trade show will begin with the opening reception on Wednesday evening from 4:15 – 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. There will be no trade show hours on Friday, January 9.
