Keep America Beautiful, Inc. (KAB) announced that Jim King, senior vice president of investor relations and corporate affairs at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, has been elected to serve on KAB's national board of directors.

Keep America Beautiful, Inc. (KAB) announced that Jim King, senior vice president of investor relations and corporate affairs at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, has been elected to serve on KAB’s national board of directors.
“Keep America Beautiful has long been involved in community beautification through tree and flower plantings, gardens and green spaces,” said Matthew M. McKenna, president and CEO of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. “As our affiliates become more sophisticated and active in diverse projects, we appreciate the input of Jim King and ScottsMiracle-Gro to meet the needs of our grassroots organizations.”

King began his career at ScottsMiracle-Gro in 2001 as director, investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to joining ScottsMiracle-Gro, King was vice president, investor relations, with the consulting firm of Edward Howard & Co., in Cleveland; manager of investor and media relations, at American Greetings Corp., Cleveland; and a business journalist in Phoenix, Atlanta and Cleveland. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and an MBA degree at Kent State University, where he is on the Board of Advisors of the university’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
