Ruppert Nurseries announced that Bob Jones and Phil Key have each been named vice president of their respective divisions: Jones as vice president of landscape construction and Key as vice president of landscape management. Within their roles, they oversee all aspects of division branch operations between Atlanta and Philadelphia.
“The contributions of both Bob and Phil have been an integral part of our ability to take on projects with increasingly complex scopes and to continue to grow and develop our people,” stated Chris Davitt, president of Ruppert Nurseries. “Both of these gentlemen have proven their worth to the company over many years of dedicated service and in many ways. To be named vice president formally recognizes the work that they’ve been doing as division managers and the value that we believe they bring to our top management team.”
Jones has been with Ruppert Nurseries for 13 years and oversees the planning and budgeting, new branch development, personnel development, quality control and customer relations of the landscape construction division. A certified professional horticulturist (CPH), Jones attended Ohio State University and has more than two decades of industry experience. He currently resides in Finksburg, Md.
As head of the landscape management division, Key oversees six landscape management branches and leads the development of new branches. His responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, personnel development, quality control and customer relations. A resident of Miller’s Island, Key holds a bachelors degree in business from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College and has been with the company for 11 years.
