Nicolock Mobile Design Center

Nicolock Mobile Design Center

Nicolock Paving Stones is taking its annual vendor presentation on the road with an innovative “mobile design center” in response to COVID-19.

“Each year, we host our vendors at our offices on Long Island to showcase our latest products and designs,” said Jeremy Mutschler, Nicolock’s director of marketing.  “Due to concerns related to the pandemic, we had to find a creative way to reach our buyers, so we decided to take the show on the road…literally.”

Mutschler noted that the company’s core audience of landscape designers, mason contractors, and building material and hardscape buyers weren’t enthusiastic about virtual Zoom presentations. So, Nicolock custom-built four touring trailers to visit various East Coast locations throughout February, March, and April. These dealers and contractors rely on Nicolock as a single source for paving stones, wall systems, piers, coping, caps, steps, fire pits and fireplaces, outdoor dining, and outdoor living products.

The trailers, which are well ventilated and easily sanitized between customer visits, feature Nicolock’s latest products as well as the Nicolock “paver challenge,” which Mutschler believes will play to the company’s competitive strengths.

Family owned and operated for 60 years, Nicolock’s success rests on the company’s trendsetting hardscape/paver products, its proprietary Paver-shield™ technology, and personalized service. A lifetime product warranty, combined with the broadest industry selection of shapes, colors, and textures, has further fueled its growth.

“With more people sequestered at home, the upcoming spring demand for hardscapes to create outdoor living and entertainment spaces has never been greater,” notes Mutschler. “Nicolock dealers and contractors are critical to our success, so we found a safe, innovative way to reach them with the products and information they need to be successful.”
