Online registration open for GIE+EXPO 2010

Online registration is now open for the 2010 Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO), which will be held in Louisville Oct. 28-30, at www.gie-expo.com.

GIE+EXPO is sponsored by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS).  It is now the 14th largest trade show in America, according to Trade Show Executive magazine.

According to Bill Harley, president and CEO of OPEI, many of the event’s popular features will return in 2010, including the New Products Arena, the two-day outdoor demonstration area and the Dealer Experience, which includes seminars and an exclusive clubroom. New features will be announced in the coming months through the media and the Web site.

Hank Shephardson, sales representative for PowerPro Equipment in West Chester, Pa., was one of the 16,000 participants at the 2009 show. “GIE+EXPO allows dealers to meet with suppliers in a different setting, and that provides an opportunity to develop better relationships. That’s a big deal,” he said. “It also helps us learn more about the comparative benefits of our lines.”

Among the 500 exhibitors in 2009 was Cub Cadet. Tom Rossman, director of sales for Cub Cadet, said, “At GIE+EXPO, dealers can meet directly with the corporate staff and the engineers of the products, as well as talk to end users and listen to their needs.”

In addition to the Web site, information about GIE+EXPO 2010 can be obtained by contacting Sellers Expositions at (800) 558-8767, (812) 949-9200 or info@gie-expo.com.
