The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) will be hosting the first of its 2009 Regional Grounds Management Seminar & Site Visitation series in San Diego March 19-20. Headlining the event will be behind-the-scenes tours of best practices at San Diego State University, Balboa Park and the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College.
Launched in 2007, this series of seminars is designed to provide grounds managers with the hard-to-find opportunity to gain knowledge, ask questions, and network with others about challenges and issues specific to their profession.
The schedule will be jam-packed with informative education sessions on crucial grounds management topics, such as management skills, smart controllers, water issues, turf weed and disease issues and more will provide attendees with valuable ideas for their grounds operation. There will also be plenty of opportunities for grounds professionals to network with their peers as well as representatives from green industry suppliers.
One of the best bargains in green industry education, the cost to attend the program is just $99 for PGMS members and $125 for other professionals. Further information is available online at http://www.pgms.org/2009regionalsandiego.htm.
