The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announced they will jointly sponsor The Lawn Care Summit, a national forum on current trends and future developments in lawn care. The meeting, scheduled for December 2-4, at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate in Orlando, Fla., is the result of years of dialogue between the groups about ways the strengths of both organizations could best be harnessed for the benefit of lawn care professionals.
“As pest management professionals seek to expand the resources they can offer customers, more and more are finding themselves considering lawn care,” said NPMA Executive Vice President Rob Lederer. “We also have seasoned veterans who have provided pest and lawn care services for years. It’s critical we provide professionals at both ends of the spectrum with the tools they need for ultimate success. The education and insight available at this meeting, will offer much needed education. The Summit is certainly a prime example of how the power of two groups working together can produce a networking and educational forum that neither group could offer independently.”
PLANET’s Chief Operating Officer, Sabeena Hickman shared Lederer’s enthusiasm. “Attendees at the Summit will walk away with fresh thinking from the value of case histories, insight for business plans, and lessons learned from those who have ‘been there and done that,’” said Hickman. “Many sessions at this meeting will offer special insight from professionals who have previously worked exclusively in lawn care or pest management and made the transition into offering both services. We are very pleased to be able to work with NPMA in bringing such solid educational opportunities to our respective memberships.”
Dual tracked sessions will offer both technical and management sessions for owners, managers, and top line technicians. Programming, developed by leaders in the lawn care field, will bring respected experts from national firms to share thoughts on what the future holds as well as seasoned veterans to offer practical advice on how they are responding to current issues in the field. The complete schedule for The Lawn Care Summit, sponsorship information and registration materials will be available by August 1 at www.npmapestworld.org/events and www.landcarenetwork.org/do/eventList.
