PLANET and NPMA to hold National Lawn Care Summit

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) and the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) have joined forces to present a national forum on current trends and future developments in lawn care. The Lawn Care Summit, a partnered program of dual educational tracks offering both technical and business management sessions for lawn care professionals, will be held December 2–4, 2009, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, in Orlando, Fla. BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals is the event’s Gold Sponsor.


Lawn care business owners, managers, technicians, pest professionals considering expanding into the lawn care market, and industry suppliers are invited to attend the summit, which will feature sessions and panel discussions on topics ranging from trends in lawn care, creating a strong, lead-generating Web site, and updates on industry issues to disease management, what’s new and still available for weed control, and critical employment bills that will affect the way businesses are run. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend the Florida Green Industry Summit and participate in a golf tournament on the 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed ChampionsGate golf course.
