Rain Bird to support ASGCA education

Rain Bird Corporation has committed to work with the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) over the next three years to create educational programming and other resources aimed at better understanding of golf course water management issues among golf course architects, their clients and the golf industry.

“Rain Bird is committed to understanding today’s complicated water management issues, and ASGCA will benefit from the high quality educational resources they can offer,” says Bruce Charlton, ASGCA President. “From Rain Bird’s Intelligent Use of Waterprogram to their commitment to irrigation systems that manage water responsibly, we know they will help us develop educational programming and tools that are good for our industry.”

The Major Partnership level of support helps ASGCA develop educational programming and tools that will help ASGCA members work more effectively in golf development and remodeling. Rain Bird and ASGCA are currently planning a variety of initiatives covering water management issues and solutions.

“We understand and support the focus that ASGCA has on educating its members and advancing the industry,” notes Rain Bird Golf division leader Michael Roberts. “This partnership is a good match, as we share that focus and have the research, interest and resources regarding water management to help provide ASGCA members and others with information that contributes to the creation of great courses that demonstrate good stewardship of the environment.”
