Ruppert Landscape’s President Chris Davitt to retire in 2014

Ruppert Landscape’s President Chris Davitt announced that he will retire from his position in January 2014. He will remain with the company in an active advisory role with the management team and will serve on the company’s advisory board.

“Although we are just announcing it to the public, we’ve been discussing this eventuality and planning its timing for the past three years now,” said CEO Craig Ruppert.

“In his 34-year career with the company, Chris has played an integral role in the growth and success of the organization,” said Ruppert. “He has helped create and shape the Ruppert company culture by living our values day in and day out. His strategic vision, hands-on management approach to grow the Ruppert team and focus on establishing systems and procedures has positioned us very well for future growth.”

Over the next year, Davitt will continue in his current role and will assist in the process of evaluating the company’s future executive structure. This process will include continued evaluation of internal talent as well as consideration of outside candidates.

“I can’t imagine a greater career for the past 30 years,” said Davitt. “I look forward to working with my Ruppert friends as a consultant versus an owner-employee going forward.”
