Select Hustler Raptors to feature Kohler engines

Hustler Turf Equipment recently announced that the Kohler air-cooled V-twin 7000 series will soon power the Raptor 42-inch and 52-inch models.

These professional-grade engines feature Kohler’s patented Smart-Choke technology. This technology combined with a high-torque inertia drive starter will give consumers simplified, quick and reliable starting every time. Just turn the key and go. Cast-iron cylinder bores protect under dirty conditions, and the dual-seal air filter keeps debris out of the engine, all while extending the engine’s life.

“We are very excited to add the new premium Kohler 7000 series engine to power our Raptor family,” said Brad Unruh, Hustler Turf Equipment’s director of product strategy. “The professional features of this engine will be a great match to the Raptor platform.”

The 7000 Series engines were designed by Kohler from the ground up, using design features of critical components from its commercial Command PRO EFI series of engines.
