The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) has postponed its annual Snow & Ice Symposium to August 25-28, 2020. The SIMA Board of Directors made the decision to move the 23rd annual event, originally scheduled for June. The event will be held at the Hartford Connecticut Convention Center.

“This was a difficult but prudent decision,” says Laura Ingram, chair of the SIMA Board of Directors. “It allows us time to see how COVID-19 plays out and create a safe and refreshing experience for our members and attendees.”

The Snow & Ice Symposium is the pre-eminent education, networking and trade show event for North American commercial snow and ice professionals. Last year the “Best Show in Snow” attracted more than 2,300 attendees.

“There is no replacement for the networking and personal relationships that are built at the annual Symposium, and we need those now more than ever — we’ll just have to wait a little longer to come together,” said SIMA CEO Martin Tirado, CAE. “We are hopeful that snow professionals across the United States and Canada will make plans to connect, learn and keep moving our industry forward on our new dates in August.”
