Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX), introduced the newest addition to the ever-expanding line of quality Terex generators: the Terex T50 super-quiet generator. Designed with customers’ needs in mind, the T50 features a durable Tier 4 compliant engine, 110 percent spill containment and simple, user-friendly controls.

“It is central to Terex to design and build generators that not just meet, but exceed customers’ expectations – generators that really add to a customer’s equipment portfolio,” said David Spears, Terex AWP product manager. “We’ve built in value with standard features like a dependable, top of the line Kubota engine and 110 percent spill containment to deliver to those expectations.”

The T50 is powered by a reliable Tier 4 compliant 63.7 hp Kubota diesel engine, efficiently supplying portable power on demand to a wide variety of applications. The T50 offers operators single-phase, three-phase and simultaneous single- and three-phase operation for maximum flexibility of power needs. Three-phase voltages include 208 / 220 / 240 / 440 / 480 while single-phase voltages are 120 / 240.

At 66 decibels, the Terex T50 generator is quieter than a common household vacuum cleaner, but still boasts a powerful system output of 49 kilovolt amps (39 kilowatts) of prime three-phase power. A mechanical governor controls frequencies to an accuracy of plus or minus 4 percent. For applications where tighter frequency regulations are required, an optional electronic governor is available.

The design of the Terex T50 cabinet and base is engineered with operators in mind. In the event of a spill, standard 110 percent spill containment keeps all on-board fluids retained in the generator’s base making any clean up easy and keeping the ground clear of oils, fuel and other fluids. A removable rear panel allows operators and service teams to easily service the generator, electrical components and other service points. Overlapping sheet metal housing reduces noise for quiet operation.

The T50 is built with simple, effective operation in mind. Step by step operating instructions are mounted on the control panel door. Plus, the T50 shares a single user interface with the entire Super Quiet line of generators, building in simplicity for fleet applications. The controller provides a straightforward user interface with on/off functions, manual and automatic settings. An analog gauge package allows operators to quickly and accurately monitor all electrical loads and engine functions. Like all Terex Super Quiet generators, the T50 features a generously-sized fuel tank for over twenty four hours of continuous operation.

Customers can customize their Terex T50 generator with a wide variety of value-adding options, ranging from a cam-lock distribution panel for tool-less setup to options such as a block heater and 1000 CCA battery to aid cold weather operation.

The Terex T50 is backed by Genie 360°- a complete collection of value-enhancing services ranging from technical support to training.

The T50 is currently available in North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
