Thompson Dyke & Associates Acquires Land Design Collaborative

Thompson Dyke & Associates, Ltd. (TD&A), a Chicago-based multidisciplinary land planning and landscape architectural firm currently managing the Chicago Park District’s Buckingham Fountain restoration project, has acquired Skokie, Ill.-based Land Design Collaborative, Inc., a landscape architecture consulting firm.

“Both are award-winning firms with long-standing traditions of providing quality program, design and construction services to clients throughout the Midwest,” said Peter Dyke, TD&A president. “The new arrangement will streamline ownership and operations, solidify our talent base, and greatly expand our ability to continue the high level of creativity, dedication and professionalism our clients have come to expect.”

Land Design Collaborative, which previously acquired McFadzean and Everly, Ltd., will relocate to TD&A’s River North headquarters. Veteran landscape architects Jim Gamble and Bob Zolomij, who founded Land Design Collaborative in 1986, will become TD&A senior vice presidents, according to Dyke.
