ValleyCrest adds sales leader

ValleyCrest Landscape Companies named Karen Kennedy, a senior-level sales executive, to the newly created position of vice president of sales. Kennedy brings more than 23 years of sales experience, capabilities and success to help meet the challenges of a global services operation that generates nearly $1 billion in annual revenue.

Prior to joining ValleyCrest, Kennedy held key sales leadership positions where she played a pivotal role in creating top performing sales teams. This included positions at Hewlett-Packard, Unisys and most recently Dun & Bradstreet’s Hoover’s Inc. subsidiary. At ValleyCrest, Kennedy’s focus will be on developing senior relationships with customers, integrating the company’s high-touch customer service approach consistently across divisions, and improving the company’s ability to define and communicate value to customers who require maximum efficiency from service providers in today’s challenging economic environment.

“ValleyCrest is respected as a world-class operation and its leadership team is continuing to explore innovative ways to efficiently serve customers in the commercial real estate industry,” said Richard A. Sperber, president and CEO of ValleyCrest, to whom Kennedy will report. “We are happy Karen is joining us because she brings new ideas and processes that will contribute to ValleyCrest’s next growth phase as the company seeks to push above $1 billion in sales.”

“I’m excited about the opportunity to help build a model sales team that compliments ValleyCrest’s existing group of senior leaders and its landscape operations that have earned international respect,” said Kennedy. “In my experience, one of the biggest challenges any large organization faces is how to continue meeting and exceeding growth goals. I am confident that my background and zeal for sales excellence will contribute to ValleyCrest reaching the next level.”
