Valmont Irrigation, manufacturer of Valley center pivots and linears, announced the recent addition of Aaron Schapper as vice president and general manager of international irrigation. Schapper will be responsible for international product development, management of service, sales, joint venture, and acquisition opportunities.
He joined the Valmont team in October 2011 from Orbit Irrigation Products, where he was based out of Shanghai, China. Orbit Irrigation is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of turf irrigation electronics and watering products in the world. In addition, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
“Joining Valmont Irrigation is an exciting opportunity for me,” said Schapper. “I’m happy to be part of a strong, global company that leads the way in developing innovative and technologically advanced products that helps the world conserve water through the use of mechanized irrigation.”
“Adding Aaron to the team further strengthens our ability to meet the diverse needs of our company and growers throughout the world,” stated Len Adams, president of Valmont Global Irrigation. “He comes with a wealth of experience, energy, and enthusiasm, and we’re pleased to welcome him to Valmont. His previous involvement with global market development will be a great benefit to our company.”
