Valmont Irrigation, manufacturer of Valley center pivots and linears, announced the recent addition of Aaron Schapper as vice president and general manager of international irrigation. Schapper will be responsible for international product development, management of service, sales, joint venture, and acquisition opportunities.
He joined the Valmont team in October 2011 from Orbit Irrigation Products, where he was based out of Shanghai, China. Orbit Irrigation is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of turf irrigation electronics and watering products in the world. It was there that Schapper served as general manager of Asia Operations. During his successful tenure at Orbit Irrigation, he built new markets, led multiple facilities, launched start-up ventures, and revitalized non-performing operations in the Chinese marketplace. Schapper comes to Valmont with 10+ years of experience in engineering, strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership skills to produce consistently strong revenue, market, and profit results. In addition, he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
