Wolf Creek Company and IrriGreen, Inc. announced that Wolf Creek now distributes the IrriGreen Genius Irrigation System to professional contractors. Wolf Creek has nine locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Kentucky. IrriGreen is the first irrigation system to extend smart control from the controller out to the sprinkler head. Genius multi-stream, smart sprinklers water in the exact shape of any lawn from the inside out with just one head per zone and no lateral lines.
“IrriGreen brings lawn irrigation forward into the digital age,” said Scott Knowles, president, Wolf Creek Company. “It is a good option for contractors who want to get out ahead of the competition by adopting advanced technology.”
“Wolf Creek understands and is committed to the green industry,” said Ray Lamovec, sales and marketing director, IrriGreen, Inc. “Their extensive online and in-field educational programs and technical assistance demonstrate their industry leadership.”
IrriGreen represents the most fundamental advance in lawn irrigation in more than 40 years, transforming it from outdated mechanical equipment into modern digital technology. IrriGreen adapted digital control and nozzle design from high-tech inkjet printers. Like a printer spraying ink in precise patterns on a page, IrriGreen Genius Sprinklers “print” water in controlled patterns that conform to the specific outline of any lawn. Instead of rows of 4-8 sprinkler heads positioned around the outside edge of each irrigation zone and watering from the outside-in with inefficient overlapping sprays that waste water, IrriGreen waters from the inside-out with just one head in the middle of each zone and no spray overlap. IrriGreen’s smart sprinklers regulate the direction and distance of the sprays plus rotational speed as the heads rotate, adjusting them hundreds of times per rotation. The radius of their multi-volume water streams follows the digital map of each zone that installers set with the Genius Mobile App on their Smartphones.
IrriGreen keeps grass green while reducing water use as much as 50 percent. Requiring fewer heads and less pipe than conventional irrigation systems, IrriGreen generally installs in half to one-third the time.
